MOVING OFFICE, MOVING ON UP!

In today’s vlog, we’re moving office. We’re packing up our base, which we’ve been in since we started the company almost one year ago. We’re expanding the company and moving the office to Farringdon, it was just impractical to stay where we are now. We started out in this place, we’ve grown, learnt and experienced a hell of a lot since the first time we moved in. 

We have many memories, all the late nights, the working weekends and the projects we have won and lost in this place. It’s a great time for reflection and seeing where we’ve come from and how far we still have to go!

Let’s see where we are this time next year. We’re excited to continue to share the journey at all levels, the good, the bad and the ugly.

WHY DO WE VLOG?!

Why do we vlog? Why are you vlogging? These are questions we always get asked.

We’re a marketing agency, we’re building a company and we’re on an entrepreneurial journey…. but mostly, we’re doing it be practitioners. To practice what we preach and put our money where our mouth is. To really understand social media, you need to be amongst it and living it daily. How can we stand in front of some of the biggest brands in the world but not understand what we are talking about?

Today’s vlog we are in London, casting for a video that we are creating for one of the major gaming companies globally. It’s a new client, a new opportunity and the potential to show to the brand that what we do works and delivers real results. Tass and Majid head to the casting, lead by our Director Craig, to meet the potential cast who will be starring in the video.

The difficulty with creating content for social, is that it needs to be fit for platform, it needs to be raw, easily consumable and exciting. Let’s see if we can pull it off ;)

TRAVELLING TO BANGKOK, THAILAND

In today’s vlog, Tass is travelling to Bangkok, Thailand with his girlfriend for a much-needed holiday, we decide to take you on the journey and show you some of the behind the scenes. After travelling all over the world with our clients and on Business Development, Tass embarks on for some relaxation and downtime, this time without camera man Nick, how will he survive :')

At the same time, Socially Powerful are in the middle of a lot of major projects and recruiting for new employees. As a start-up business, we need to be smart with where we invest our money and who we invest our money in. Arriving in Bangkok you really feel the pace of the city, the vibe of the people and the culture of the communities in the city, which changes from day to night.

FACEBOOK VIDEO VS YOUTUBE VIDEO

We’re with Julius Dein in London filming a prank for one of our clients. We have an interesting chat about Facebook video vs YouTube video. Understanding the audience and how you can capture the attention of people in split seconds as they scroll through their newsfeed. We discuss the differences between a Facebook view and a YouTube view, I’m sure you’ll all know about the continuous discussion around how Facebook counts a view :P
